Letters By Lisa G

Throughout the summer we want to take some time to introduce you to all of our vendors! Today's Spotlight is on Lisa Giaimo from Letters by Lisa G!

Lisa began creating signs and décor to give as gifts & decorate her own home. She tells us that her sister actually taught her to paint through FaceTime! Lisa says, "my husband started commenting that I might as well go into business since my "inventory" was taking over the garage!"

Lisa was customer of vintage Warehouse before she was a vendor and says the decision to join the vendor team here with her creations was a natural choice. She says "I really appreciate the vendor community at Vintage Warehouse and try to learn each day by observing the talented vendors in both making interesting items and developing beautiful displays.  I feel like I have come a long way from when I first started making signs and displaying them!  I appreciate the inspiration and the advice I have received along the way." The feeling is mutal. We LOVE having Lisa on the vendor team ere at Vintage Warehouse.

We asked Lisa to tell us a little bit about how she creates her signs. "There are three ways I paint signs.  I hand paint some, especially when I am going for a more distressed or farmhouse look.  Others, with more detailed designs, are stenciled.  I design the stencil and cut it out of vinyl.  Then, I either use it like a traditional stencil and paint "inside"  the design.  Or, I put the design down on the sign, paint over it, and then remove the letters to reveal the base coat.  A lot of it depends on what the style of the sign will be and the condition of the wood.  I cut my own wood and route all the edges, but my lovely husband is my sander!"

Be sure to Follow Lisa on Social Media & head into the store today (5/29/18) to enjoy 15% off any sign from her booth!
